Scheduled visits are held on weekdays. Please confirm your arrival time in advance so a workstation and the requested specimen records can be staged for your session.
Questions we hear before a first call
We recommend reserving eight to twelve weeks before the first field day. Survey layout, hardware procurement, and the offline server build all need lead time, and late bookings frequently force compromises on training. Summer windows fill first, so a note in early spring is wise.
Yes. Most of our curation work begins beside an existing catalogue rather than replacing it. We audit the current schema, map our fields to it, and build exports that your system accepts. Replacement is only proposed when the existing system cannot hold the records the collection actually needs.
Every engagement ends with an owner manual and a recovery procedure written for your staff, so daily operation does not depend on us. Institutions that want a seasonal review, schema updates, or refresher training can arrange a yearly support plan when the project closes.
